AFL-CIO The mission of the AFL-CIO is to improve the lives of working families by bringing economic justice to the workplace and social justice to our nation. Healthcare Leadership Council The Healthcare Leadership Council (HLC) was formed in 1988 by CEOs from all disciplines within the health care system as the exclusive forum for the leadership of the health care industry to jointly develop policies, plans and programs to accomplish their goals. The goal driving the members of HLC is to constantly improve the affordability, innovation and quality of an American health care system that is the best in the world. Since 2000, access to coverage for uninsured individuals has been HLC's priority issue. |

National Medical Association The National Medical Association (NMA) is the largest and oldest national organization representing African-American physicians and health professionals in the United States. Established in 1895, the NMA represents more than 30,000 physicians and the millions of patients they serve. Service Employees International Union The Service Employees International Union's (SEIU) diverse membership brings a unique understanding of the crisis as the largest union of health care workers, as consumers fighting to maintain affordable health care, and as low-wage workers struggling to gain coverage. National Alliance for Hispanic Health The mission of the National Alliance for Hispanic Health (the Alliance) is to improve the health and well-being of Hispanics. W.K. Kellogg Foundation The W.K. Kellogg Foundation was established in 1930 "to help people help themselves through the practical application of knowledge and resources to improve their quality of life and that of future generations." To achieve the greatest impact, the Foundation targets its grants toward specific areas.
